Truly Blessed
By Monica L.
My little star, so pure and bright
your life has begun, it's a wonderful flight.
You'll learn and see such wonderful things.
and somedays you'll dream that you have wings.
To fly away from hurt and pain.
To drift away, to remain sane.
Life can be good though, and here's some hope.
I'll put it in a bottle, to help you cope.
Lock away any fears, that you will endure
Hoping with love, that I can find a cure.
I'll wrap you in kindness,in a nice cocoon
that you won't have to see this, anytime soon.
But Life can be good, and I'll show you it's true
because Mommy, and Daddy truly love you.
With each new day,and each new step
we know that we, are truly blessed.
Your eyes so blue, your skin so white.
I wish forever, i could have you in sight.
You bring to my life such immense joy
and I know someday that you'll meet a boy.
He'll sweep you away, and offer a ring.
and away with your heart, because it will sing.
You'll get married, have children, and be content
because each new day, with your family will be spent.
I'll be here forever, and that's a vow
especially on days, you're feeling down.
I hold you now, and hold you forever
hoping our relationship, never should sever.
So when you read this someday, then you'll know
that I wrapped you in Love, topped with a Bow.
So my little star, one more thing I should say
That I wish forever, here you could stay.
Everyday with you, I grow to love you more
and each new day, has a new trial in store.
But I'll cherish it warmly, and I'll past the test
Because your Daddy, and I, are truly Blessed.

Just Add Daughter
a Poem, by David Pawson
After Adam and Eve
Left the Garden of Eden,
And one son would leave
The other one bleedin',
When God saw them grieve
He passed down this order:
"Bring to them
Some joy again:
For Love, You Just Add Daughter!"
Cain despised his brother
As long as he was Abel.
They hated one another;
They wouldn't share a table.
So to Eve, their mother,
This gift the angels brought her:
"A girl, my dear,
Be of good cheer:
For Love, You Just Add Daughter."
Between the boys the hatred grew;
Their parents couldn't stop it.
Whatever one of them would do,
The other'd surely top it!
But this is what old Adam knew,
As the tempers there grew shorter:
"The angels say
She'll make my day;
For Love, You Just Add Daughter."
Then one day it happened:
Cain broke his parents' hearts.
With Abel dead, he hung his head,
Was driven from those parts.
So Adam cried, and Eve did too,
That their sons would show no quarter.
And though they wept,
Some hope was kept:
For Love, You Just Add Daughter.
As it was outside of paradise,
It continues to this day:
While boys may turn our hearts to ice,
And make us turn away,
Sugar, spice and all things nice
Will turn that ice to water.
As before, And evermore,
For Love, You Just Add Daughter.
